Terms of Use

1. The service

Big Lemon Writer provides tools for writing, organizing long-form stories, managing outlines, character notes and story cards, searching your own story context, tracking writing activity, and requesting AI-assisted feedback. Features may vary by platform and version.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.

3. Your content remains yours

You retain the rights you hold in writing and other content you create or upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive permission to process that content only as needed to save, sync, export, search, back up, display to you, and provide features you request.

You must have the rights needed to upload content and must not use Big Lemon to violate copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

4. AI-assisted features

AI output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, or unsuitable for publication. It is not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. You remain responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to use any output.

Publishing guidance is unofficial and based on publicly available platform information. It does not guarantee acceptance, traffic, ranking, or income.

5. Trial, subscription, renewal, and cancellation

Big Lemon Pro is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription. Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day free trial when shown on the purchase screen. A valid payment method is required. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial or current billing period ends, the subscription renews automatically at the price displayed by the store at purchase.

Subscriptions purchased through Apple are billed to your Apple Account and managed in App Store subscription settings. Web subscriptions are managed through the payment provider shown at checkout. Deleting the app or your Big Lemon account does not by itself cancel a subscription.

Prices, taxes, currencies, refunds, and eligibility may vary by storefront. Refund requests are handled under the rules of the platform that processed the payment and applicable consumer law. Paid access remains available through the end of the period shown by the relevant store, unless refunded or revoked.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law, harm others, distribute malware, attack or probe the service, bypass access controls, steal accounts or AI allowances, automate abusive requests, or obtain non-public data. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law.

7. Availability, backups, and changes

We work to keep Big Lemon available and to save changes reliably, but no service is uninterrupted or loss-proof. Network failures, device problems, third-party outages, or software defects can delay synchronization. Export independent backups of important work.

We may improve, add, remove, or modify features. If a material change affects paid core functionality or pricing, we will provide notice when reasonably required.

8. Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account in the app. After required confirmation, private account data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy, except minimal records retained for legal, tax, refund, fraud-prevention, or security purposes. You must cancel any store subscription separately.

We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, legal requirements, security threats, or non-payment. Rights that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and payment records—continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers, law, and contact

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the individual operator in China, without limiting mandatory consumer protections in your country.
